02/12/96 - Reworked the Graphical Bar Graph display when the program was
working to show a much smoother Screen effect.
Fixed a couple of minor internal bugs.
02/01/96 - This release is Now fully functional and will sort all TriBBS
Data Files such as Users Base, File Areas, & Message Conferences.
You must have the registered version of TriSort in order to sort
the File Areas & Message Conferences.
Now included in this new release is a file called "TSORT386.EXE"
which was compiled using the 386 Machine Instruction Set for
greater speed and performance. You must have a 386 or faster
machine inorder to run this executable.
12/11/95 - TriSort creates a temporay directory "temp" off of your
tribbs\display directory to hold renumbered user specific messages
while sorting the user base. The problem was, after Trisort
completed the user sort, it move the new renumbered specific
message back to the \tribbs\display but "failed" to remove the
"temp" directory it creates. The next time you tried to run Trisort
to sort the user's base , TriSort was tring to create a directory
that was already there and that cause TriSort to bomb out at this
point and not complete the users sorting. I now have added extra
routines to check for this directory before it tries to create it
and redid the "remove directory routines" to do a better job of
removing this directory. Sorry for any headaches this may have
caused anyone...
11/18/95 - This New Version now requires a new TriSort.key. See Readme.!!!
for more details.
User Records sorting, will now allow the sysop to select Alias
names to sort on.
New command line options for running User Record sorting in your
nightly event, so READ the Doc's... :)
When sorting the User Records, TriSort was not properly renumbering
the User Specific Screen Messages to their new Record numbers.
FIXED!
TriSort now requires a Config file to run. I did away with the
prompt inside TriSort that asks the question "Enter Path to Node
1' directory".
Completely rewrote the File Areas sorting routines to make it more
user friendly. Now if you select "P" for partial sort, it will
only grab that block of file areas, sort them and put them back
into the same file positions and will not move or disturb other
file areas leaving them in the same order before the sort occured.
10/28/95 - Pre-Release of TriSort v4.0 that will only sort the User Data
Records for now. Because of the files involved and the completly
new Data Structures TriBBS uses, I will have to completly rewrite
the other modules that handles the File & Message Areas.. I don't
want to hurry this because I need to fully beta test these other
modules to insure no data corruption will not happen. As soon as
these tests are complete and running without problems, I will
release other versions...
08/29/95 - Registration Doc's revisions only!
01/17/95 - Released TriSort v3.1
01/10/95 - The Sorting Users.sup screen in File areas was not clearing
the File Area Numbers completly when it was done. FIXED!
01/10/95 - When sorting Message Conferences, TriSort will create a file
called Mconf.txt. However, the last conference at the end of the
page would not print to this file before the next page started
causing a conference to be skipped on every page...FIXED!
Also, in the Registered version of TriSort, it created an
Additional file called Node.txt for your Nodes. It had the same
problem as Mconf.txt...FIXED!
01/10/95 - When a user would run Sort file areas, TriSort would sometimes not
change back to the default directory from which it was started.
FIXED!
01/03/95 - Released TriSort v3.0
TriSort will now allow the sorting of Message Conferences and all
files that are associated with them. Also, several utils area
included that will realign the Conference numbers in TriNet,
TriToss, & TriDog config files. Redid some screens. Minor Typo
fixes. Message Conference Sorting will be Crippled in this version
to help inspire registrations...Sorry folks, but I have over 3
months in development into this software.
12/07/94 - Released TriSort v2.0
12/05/94 - TriSort will now allow you to set up a simple Config file
and let you run the "Sort Users Records" in a nightly event.
(See TriSort.Doc for More Info on settting up)
Drop the "You are about to Sort your Users Files" question.
Drop the "You are about to Sort your File Areas" question.
12/03/94 - Added the ability to Bail out of the program during running in
a few more places for Users and File Areas. If you do decide
to Bail out by pressing ESC, then any Records altered will be
restored to orginal order.
Did more work on the Display Screens.
Changed the way the editor functions work in the Enter
To and From File Area Numbers after selecting Partial File
Areas Sort. Now it will display blanks in these fields and
allow you to enter what ever. I do show a Total File Areas
count in the top of the window for your Info only.
11/30/94 - Added the ablitity to sort File Areas by either "ALL" or
"Partial" File Areas by selecting a Number from and to.
Did a little more cosmetics to the screens.
Tighten up some routines from prior releases to help stop
errors.
11/26/94 - Released TriSort v1.1
11/26/94 - Some BBS's had big Display directories so when TriSort ran to
check and Renumber "User Specific Messages" there was a BIG delay
between program Screens. I have now added a New Window that shows
TriSort is working on the "Users Specific Messages".
TriSort now checks for "Blank Alias Fields" in the Users.Dat file.
If the Alias Field is Blank, TriSort will insert the "Users Real
Name" in the Alias Field.
11/22/94 - First Release of TriSort v1.0
